A chatbot is an AI-powered tool that answers questions, collects contact details, and generates leads and sales through your website – all automatically.
Is SmarterBots GDPR compliant and is my data safe?

Do I need to write responses myself?
No. Your bot is trained using your existing website content and refined by our team. You don’t need any technical setup.
Can I integrate it with my custom backend system?
We can build any custom integration with any backend system that can expose the data via API endpoints. For example, we can make the chatbot, check the availability of the product in your warehouse, check the status of the order in your ERP system, or check the current balance on the customer account.
Is there support for other languages?
Yes, we can train the chatbot in any language. We can provide additional instructions to the chatbot to answer only in selected language. By default the chatbot answers in the language of the question. That is also the case when the language of the question is different than the language in which the chatbot has been trained. This means that we can train the chatbot in English and it will answer in Spanish if asked in Spanish.
Do SmarterBots work on mobiles?

Will the chatbot make up answers?
No. SmarterBots doesn’t invent responses or guess information. If it’s unsure, it can be trained to take the desired action, for example, it can say it doesn’t know and invite the visitor to leave their contact details for a follow-up.
What happens if it doesn’t know the answer?
When a question falls outside its knowledge base, SmarterBots flags it for review. You’ll see it listed in your AI Insights Overview, helping you decide whether to add that information to your website or train the bot to handle it next time.
Can I see what people are asking?
Yes. You’ll have access to a secure dashboard where you can review full chat logs and see exactly what visitors are asking. It’s a great way to understand visitor interests, spot recurring questions, and refine your website content over time.
